Eurovision 2023!

Hello! How you've been doing without a whole year of Eurovision? 👀

Since I had not so much time to prepare this week this will be probably be shorter than usual. But here we go!

The most read (in my world) and most accurate Eurovision Song Review is here! I know you all have been waiting for this for a whole year! 😁

Like always we are starting with the Grand Prix of this year. And surprise, surprise - it's Latvia of course with Sudden Lights. Nu they were the best really, there's no point of even discussing it. But one thing however I must say - I think that Latvia should've chosen Patrisha with song Hush this year, just because her song really hit my brain 😂 when I heard it the first time, and I think she would've fit in the big show more.

But Sudden Lights was my second choice and I am very proud of how they performed, they were really great - stage was great, they sang great - everything was as good as it can be, so good, job, good job!

And it's sad they didn't get in to finals, I think they were better then some of those who did get there..

Here they are: Sudden Lights - Aijā:

And now getting to the top 10. I must say that this year it was actually quite hard to choose top 10, because there were many very good songs. But I tried my best. Like always - in time probably I will start to like more with time, it has always been like that 😆

So before the TOP 10 I just want to to mention those songs and performers which I really, really liked, but unfortunately they did not get into my top 10, just because I liked others more. like I said this year there are really many good songs!

So my respects go to Denmark which didn't qualify (the boy didn't sing that well in the semi final, but I liked the song very much, sounded like Charlie Puth a bit 😊). From the qualifiers I really liked Serbia (vampire song), Switzerland (really like this one actually, hope they get a good place in the final), Czechia (like the video more than what they did on the stage - the pink outfits kinda ruined it),

Germany 😆, whoever is comparing them to Rammstein is not on their right mind - I like the song, but like in an unserious way - because the lyrics are just hilarious: "Blood and Glitter... we so happy we could die..." - nu, really?

😂, Lithuania -  really nice song and it was written by our Latvian singer Chris Noah, so Latvia kinda is participating as well (hope they will also get a nice place in the final) 😀 and France - nu, this is very French of course like always 😁 But it is also very catchy - this is actually so good, that there is not even anything to say anymore.

And now it is finally time to reveal my TOP 10 - the most anticipated EUROVISION TOP 10 OF ALL TIME! OF ALL TIME!!! 🙆

#10 POLAND - Blanka - Solo! Laugh as much as you want. When I heard the second from Poland's selection I thought - wow! she really bad..mkay? But let me tell you this - it is very visible that she and her team has worked very much since then on everything - on singing, on staging etc. - the semi final performance was in my opinion very good. And the song is very catchy. BEIBA, IS KAINDA KREIZA! 😄

#9 NORWAY - Alessandra - Queen of Kings. So about this one - the song is very good I remembered it instantly after hearing it for he first time and I still hum it to myself from time to time. BUT I am kinda disappointed in the music video, because I thought it would be some kinda of a viking stuff, but it is just too pop for this song Also I think that the singer kinda lacks that power to sing this song, imagine Nightwish singing this one - that's what's missing - real power! But the song is really good!

#8 AUSTRIA - Teya & Salena - Who The Hell Is Edgar? Po, po, po, po, po, po, po, po, po, po...Edgar Allan, Edgar Allan Poe 😄 This is such a good one. I like the intro very much. It is very catchy. And the song is fun, yet has a meaning 👵

#7 SWEDEN. Loreen - Tattoo. Yes it is not number one. Honestly I don't really understand all this fuss about this song. Yes - it is very good, but is it the best? No, of course not lesbehonest. This one is not as nearly as good as Euphoria for starters. Also it's not even the song, it's the singer that does the trick. Yes, she is very charismatic and likeable and good luck to her of course, but I really don't think this should be the winner of this year. Also it would be a little bit boring and predictable if she would really win. However, she is in my top 10, so it means it is a good song, just not the best 👻

#6 BELGIUM - Gustaph - Because Of You. This reminds me of Madonna's Vogue very much (in a good way)! Now this is a very good song. The more I hear this one, the more I like it. I think this one we might here a lot on the radio later! 😸

#5 UNITED KINGDOM - Mae Muller - I Wrote A Song... yes and just took the can can dance as the chorus part. 😄 But all jokes aside the chorus really does sound like the can can dance, doesn't it? Also - I really like the studio version and the music video, but on the stage it is a bit off - like someone else is singing it (the girl even looks very different from the music video), so that kinda pushed this song back in my top. As I thought it will be higher in the end for me. But overall a very, very good song - already on our radio stations! 😌

#4 ISRAEL - Noa Kirel - Unicorn. Oooohhh...nu this is one of those 😍😆 (last year it was Spain, a year before it was Azerbaijan this year it is Israel). Israeli Patrisha I would say. Very, very cool song - liked it instantly. But the funny part is where she sings - you wanna see me dance? Watch me - and then just basically rolls on the floor during the dance part 😆
But I really like this one - one of my favorites from the very beginning.

#3 CROATIA - Let 3 - Mama ŠČ! What can I say - I like such weird stuff on Eurovision. But I like that this song has a strong message even if at first it seems that it is nonsense.  And I think we all understand who the "Onaj mali psihopat, Mali, podli psihopat, Krokodilski psihopat" meant to be in this song. This one deserves to be in top 3.

#2 MOLDOVA - Pasha Parfeni - Soarele şi Luna. Love this one! I heard this one somehow randomly while doing some chores around the house, and even though I don't understand a single word in this sing (only Luna means moon, I think 🌛😁) I liked this one instantly, it has good beat which I like to nod my head to, and they have a small, small man playing a a flute - is this a good performance or what? 😄

#1 FINLAND - Käärijä - Cha Cha Cha. The more I watch and listen this one, the more and more I like the song and the singer himself. And the song seems crazy at first and chaotic, but it is actually very well put together. The beat is awesome - it keeps growing and growing, and growing, And then it goes into some 2000's techno-disco type of chorus 😄 This is amazing. This is my winner! Go Finland! 👏👏👏

Nu, that's all folks!
I am sorry, if it wasn't as entertaining as before, but I tried my best - had beer while writing this and everything for this to be good! 😄
See you again next year! ✌👀🎵
